Final Revised Group A Week 2 -Final Learning Goals and Objectives
Goals #1 Given resource materials about 19th and 20th century American painters, volunteers will describe the paintings when leading a museum tour.
Objectives:
Given handout sheets and slide on 19th and 20th century American painters, volunteers can identify, recall, and match the paintings to the correct artists and identify the medium.
Given the map of the museum, volunteers can strategically plan 2 hours tour exhibits.
Goals #2 Given a manual book on museum policies, volunteers at the “information station” can answer visitors’ questions about the museum in professional manner.
Objectives:
Given museums’ policies, procedures, and general information, volunteers can answers the frequently asked questions.
Given role-playing games in museum conduct, volunteers will show professional manner in handling disgruntled guests.
Goals #3 When given access to the Excel database, volunteers will able to locate, edit, copy, and add new patron’s information into the database.
Objectives: A. Given prerequisite training in Microsoft Excel, volunteers will add patron’s application form, organizing the database, and retrieving patron’s information in within 5 minutes.
Goals #4 Given training techniques for raising funds, volunteers will call and e-mail patrons to raise funds.
Objectives:
Given a phone manual about raising funds, volunteers will call 25 patrons and calculate how much funds been raised each month
Given a page on how to raise funds, volunteers can e-mail 25 patrons every month in 30 minutes with less than 3 errors.
Rational: The four goals chosen meet the client’s request in training and equipping the volunteers with skills ensuring learning outcome that are terminal for accomplishing the four tasks required by the directors of the museum. Each learning objective has a clear goal and they are all encapsulated by the over-arching learning goal. They are specific, measurable, and observable, which will enable us to win the museum contract and ultimately, design a training program that will meet the requested expectations of the museum directors. At the end, the learning goals and objectives establish standardize learning outcome for all volunteers that will benefit the museum.
